Cops and Cones is a summertime community-building project designed to grow the bond between the Toledo Police Department and area residents. Officers cruise around city neighborhoods in an ice cream truck donated by the Foundation, giving out sweet treats to help kids beat the heat. The program helps combat the negative stigma some children associate with police officers.
