TOLEDO, Ohio — Police Chief George Kral announced on Tuesday that the Toledo Police Foundation is now registered with 501(c)(3) status.
Reach its full potential while strengthening ties within the community, was influential in obtaining the Cops & Cones ice cream truck and is currently working on a number of other projects.
“We said ‘Well why not Toledo?’ and Toledo is a very giving community,” said Joe Napoli, president of the foundation. “From that perspective it only made sense and the needs in the community far outweigh the dollars. So this is just another way of accomplishing many goals that would otherwise go unfulfilled.”
The foundation helps strengthen officers’ ties within the community. One of its recent projects was the “Cops and Cones” ice cream truck.
